I enacted the instructions for eighteen performance and conceptual works culled from the history of art during a twenty-eight day cross-country road trip. The project was documented through digital photography and postcard notifications mailed from the road. Echo exists not as an act of appropriation, but rather as a practice of remembering. The project is a gesture away from the modernist notion of the solitary genius to a model that explores creative dialogues between artists and across generations.
